This past season I heard the NJSymphony performed a thrilling WILLIAM TELL overture. The TV excerpt is nauseating after decades but the overture was on another level. As always, Symphony music directors might be urged to add an aria or two as part of their programming.

Hopefully The MET will revive their French production soon.

The Opera Festival of Chicago produced a delightful 'L'Inganno felice' this summer. It was the 1st time the opera was heard in Chicago and starred the incredible tenor Kenneth Tarver along with Katie Beck.
